To sign up for an ONID email account, visit: http://www.onid.orst.edu Before you sign up, make sure you know your Student ID and GAP. Your GAP is your General Access Pin, a six digit number which is used to access OSU Online Services. It is initially set to your birth date, in the format MMDDYY. If you have never changed your GAP, it is in an ?expired? state and you will not be able to access ONID until you change it. To complete registration for your new ONID email:
- Click on Sign Up For ONID.
- Enter your Student ID and GAP.
- Read and accept the OSU Acceptable Use Policy.
- Choose a password.
- Choose email forwarding, if you want to forward your ONID email to another email address.
- Obtain your ONID account information.
Forwarding Your ONID Email to Another Email Address
Please note that you are not recommended to use HotmailŽ or YahooŽ or any free email services when you sign up. You should use an OSU email account for OSU related (academic and administrative) email. To forward your ONID Email, visit: http://www.onid.orst.edu, then:
- Click on Login to ONID.
- Enter your OSU ID Number and GAP.
- Choose Manage Mail.
- Enter your other email.
- Click on Set Mail Forwarding.
