How to add an alternative testing contract with instructor and request exams through DAS
-
Register the class on the DAS website.
-
Verify on website that the class has been approved for services by the DAS office.
-
Meet with the professor during office hours to complete the alternative testing contract.
-
Schedule exams on the DAS website.
The DAS office administers exams according to the instructions outlined on the Alternative Testing Contract. The contract lists specific instructions on how, when, and where the exam will be administered. There are policy guidelines for no-show, lateness, or illness related to accommodating exams. These policies exist so that testing through the DAS office is in-line with the professor's classroom policies. If a student fails to show up for an exam, the following policies apply:
-
The request for accommodation for quizzes/midterms/final exams for that day will be canceled. The test will be immediately returned to the professor.
-
It is the student's responsibility to meet with the professor to reschedule any missed exams. Please note: it is the student's responsibility to request the rescheduled exam date and time online.
-
If a student is late for a scheduled exam, the proctors will subtract the time missed from the total time for the exam. Proctors will wait up to 20 minutes before they will assume that the student is a "no-show" for the exam.
-
If an exam is missed due to illness, it is the student's responsibility to meet with the professor to reschedule the exam, as well as coordinate new date and time with the DAS Office.
